I used a screw driver to expand the holes so the saucer section would "fit" in rather then "snap" in.

I only applied glue to the protruding studs.

Of coarse the glass struts snapped off so I had to glue them back on the saucer

This is the base, I forgot to get a picture after the decals

 

And now ladies and germs, here it is....

 I do plan on sitting down with a magnifying glass do some detail

  Notice I painted the tractor beam red

  Cool how you can see the garden area through the glass.
